Andrew "Woody" Bougard

Andrew “Woody” Bougard was born and raised in Jennings, Louisiana. Growing up, he attended Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School and Jennings High School. Upon graduation, he obtained his undergraduate degree from McNeese State University. He then enrolled at the Southern University Law Center, earning his Juris Doctorate. During law school, he clerked for The Honorable Judge Darensburg in the 24th Judicial District Court located in Gretna, Louisiana. Thereafter, he served as a law clerk for the Louisiana State Senate. Then upon graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge Welch at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

After gaining his bar license, he moved back to his hometown of Jennings and started The Bougard Law Office, LLC, while serving as an attorney for the Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis Parish Indigent Defender Board, handling all criminal matters from felonies down to traffic citations. Since then, The Bougard Law Office, LLC has gone on to recover over a million dollars from insurance companies for hurricane victims and expanded to three offices located in Lake Charles, Crowley, and Metairie, Louisiana.  

Previously, he was an attorney with The Southwest Louisiana Law Center, Inc., handling family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, and community property for clients of limited means. Currently, he serves on the Orleans Parish Indigent Board and has gone on to open a second law firm – Olivier Bougard & Williams, LLC – which primarily handles personal injury matters in the Greater New Orleans Area.  In addition, he currently serves as the attorney for the Jennings City Police Department Officers Union.

Mr. Bougard is also licensed in the United States Western and Middle District Courts for Louisiana, where he represents many friends and families that were impacted by the devastation of Hurricanes Laura and Delta.

In addition to practicing law, he is a member of the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana, Fusion Five, and The Chamber of Southwest Louisiana. He also attends Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings, Louisiana.
